Invoice templates are not limited to Microsoft Word. Some more advanced templates that can handle multiple calculations can be made using Microsoft Excel.

The primary purpose of this free invoice template is to build clients for services or product sales. It has been designed by Dotxes and is configured in a manner that will allow that logo to be removed and replaced with a custom logo.

The Excel invoice template has sections for mailing and billing information. It then has the main body of the template where an item can be entered, and the invoice will keep an automatic running total that will appear at the bottom of the invoice. The local tax rate can be entered and calculated, along with any service charges or discounts.

The template is online and free to download. All the fields are one click editable, and the template is one-sheet printing friendly. Since the fields are editable, it would be possible to use space at the bottom left as a text area to write a personal message to customers.

The biggest advantage to this template is that by using an Excel format, the chances of mathematical errors are virtually eliminated. You can visit Dotxes for another invoice design or for another type of invoice at dotxes.com.
